Below are some examples of activities and resources I have created to help students learn about some fundamental art concepts. They are designed so the learner can explore the content at their own pace.

In this video demonstration I walk students through my thought process regarding finishing work and defining a focal point. Many students struggle when they reach the final stages of their piece because the obvious steps have already been completed. I made this video to give students a look at how I think about my own work when I reach that same stage and how I go about finalizing a piece.

This choice board activity allows students to explore a variety of pieces of their choosing and provides a structure for them to think critically about the formal and conceptual aspects of the pieces they choose. It also encourages students to begin to expand on what they are looking at and consider how the decisions the artists made intrinsically affect the impact of the piece.
